FAQ

What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is a hands-on solution to relieving pain and restoring function after disease, injury, or trauma. Physical therapists are experts in assessing movement dysfunction. Through the utilization of special tests and differential diagnosis, they can localize pain originations to determine the root cause of your symptoms, and create a plan of action to restore pain-free function.
How do I know if physical therapy is right for me?
Contact us today to discuss your symptoms and current condition. We can work with you to determine if our services are the right choice for you.
I’m not an athlete. Can I still choose the PT Zone for physical therapy?
Absolutely! We’re not a one size fits all shop. We work with each patient to generate individualized programming that is focused on the specific injury at hand. We have a zero tolerance policy on discrimination and encourage all who need treatment to join us on the journey to better health.
How do I schedule my first appointment?
We offer both morning and evening appointment times to bring convenience to you. Call us today to request an initial evaluation.
Do you have parking on site?
Yes. There is an off-street parking lot located in front of our clinic.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Before your first appointment, please fill out the patient intake forms online.

When arriving in person, please bring:

Your insurance card (we will make a copy)

A prescription or referral (if needed) from your referring physician

For Motor Vehicle Accidents and Worker’s Compensation, please have a claim number, insurance adjuster, and a lawyer’s contact information ready

Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any remaining forms

Please wear clothing that is comfortable and allows access to the injured areas

Does insurance cover my treatment?
In most cases insurance does cover physical therapy, but every plan is different. Our office will contact your insurance company to determine the benefits of your individual policy. Please know it is the patient’s responsibility to fully understand their insurance coverage. Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to verify your personal benefit. To see what insurances we are in network with, there is a list at the top of this page.
What if I don't have insurance?
For those who do not have insurance coverage or are out of network with The PT Zone, we provide self-payment options. The rates can be seen at the top of this page.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and credit card. It is our policy that payments be made at the time of your appointment.
How long do the sessions last?
Typically the first appointment lasts for 60 minutes. All follow up sessions are roughly 45-60 minutes, depending on the needs of the patient.
How many sessions will I have?
At the time of your initial evaluation, the therapist will be able to recommend an appropriate plan of care that is right for you. The recommended number of visits will be determined after a diagnosis is made and will be explained to you by your physical therapist.

This one’s a doozy. We have seen an upward trend over the past several years in the issuance of cortisone injections to our patients. Cortisone is a steroid that reduces inflammation, thereby reducing pain. They are frequently injected in to joints such as the knee,...
